Simply Beautiful

We have a beautiful blooming fig tree in our front yard landscape. Not only are the branches and leaves gorgeous, but it bringeth forth delicious fruit! Three years ago the fig supply at our house was getting out of hand. I convinced Mom and Dad to enter our giant figs into the fruit contest at the Washington County Fair. We won like 10 bucks! Figs are truly beautiful though. My mom makes the best fig jam. Even if you don't like figs, you'll like fig jam. I remember the first time I ever remember going to my grandma's house in South Carolina where she welcomed me into her backyard with a fig. A delicious memory. If you live in a newly- or needed-lanscaped home, I would conscientiously recommend planting a fig tree. Even if you don't like figs, you'll love how it looks.

This post on Figs leaves me no choice but to comment! I grew up with figs in my backyard as well. As a child I was not too fond of the strange fruit, but have acquired a taste as I have matured! hahah (sprinkled with a little sugar! delightful) and the leaves and tree itself are beautiful!

hahaha, I thought that strange as well that Erica had figs in her back yard????? Yes, I thought that was a great post as well, as you guessed I also grew up with figs. Our "Aunt Phoebe" loved them and would dry them with sugar. I kind of like them, but they are definately something that your have to acquire a taste for.
